Medicolegal services are provided at €275 per hour through my own company, Shaw Infection Services Ltd.

As a guide, a CPR-compliant report usually takes between 4 and 8 hours to complete, depending on complexity, and is returned within 4 weeks of instruction.

Court attendances, where required, are charged per half-day at €1100, plus reasonable travel and accommodation.

If I can contribute remotely, the hourly fee applies.
Upon completion of work, an invoice will sent to the instructing party and payment is requested within 60 days.

I am a dual-accredited Consultant in Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, registered with both the Irish Medical Council and UK General Medical Council. I am employed as a substantive Consultant Microbiologist and Infectious Diseases physician at the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. I provide clinical advice and interpretation of microbiological investigations across a group of tertiary level university teaching hospitals, including regional obstetrics and gynaecological services.
